Before that Jürgen Klinsmann's side have five matches to play as they continue their preparations for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. On 17 November they meet Cameroon in Leipzig before travelling to the Far East the following month for games against Japan, the Korean Republic and Thailand. Germany then open the new year with a match against Argentina in Dusseldorf on 9 February.
