Ačimovič bids Slovenia adieu

Milenko Ačimovič has retired from international football at the age of 30 after withdrawing from Slovenia's squad for Wednesday's friendly against Montenegro.

Club priority
Coach Matjaž Kek had called the 30-year-old former captain up for the game, but due to injuries and other problems, the Ljubljana-born midfielder has turned down the opportunity and announced that he has played his last international game, having scored 13 goals in 74 international appearances. Ačimovič has decided to focus on his club football with FK Austria Wien in the future.
