Hörmann to end international duty

Walter Hörmann will not be continuing as Liechtenstein coach after agreeing to take over at SV Austria Salzburg.

'He will not do both jobs'
Hörmann had been in charge of semi-professionals FC Vaduz as well as Liechtenstein, but the LFV said he would not be able to combine roles with Salzburg and the national team. "He will not do both jobs," LFV chief executive Roland Ospelt said. "We had an agreement with him for four games and now we will appoint a new coach early in 2004."

One-and-a-half year deal
Hörmann took charge of Liechtenstein after Ralf Loose was dismissed in July, midway through the UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifying campaign. Hörmann, a former Salzburg player, will begin his one-and-a-half year contract with the Austrian club when his deal with Vaduz - who play in the Swiss second division - expires next month. He will replace Lars Söndergaard at Salzburg.
