Article body
Having had their qualifying hopes ended in cruel fashion by a late Poland goal on 8 October, Scotland conclude their Group D campaign with an away game against Gibraltar.
• Robert Lewandowski's added-time equaliser earned Poland a 2-2 draw in Scotland, meaning Gordon Strachan's side can no longer secure a top-three finish. Gibraltar, who have lost all nine qualifiers, are certain to finish bottom of the section.
Previous meetings
• Steven Fletcher scored a hat-trick as Gibraltar were beaten 6-1 in Scotland on 29 March, though that game in Glasgow will be remembered by the Gibraltarians for Lee Casciaro's 19th-minute strike – Gibraltar's first competitive goal.
• Gibraltar were coached by Scotsman Dave Wilson in that match, but he is now assistant coach to Englishman Jeff Wood.
Form guide
• Gibraltar have yet to score in their four competitive home fixtures to date.
• Ahead of their trip to Faro-Loule, Scotland are without a victory in four Group D away games (D2 L2).
