With just two matchdays remaining, Poland forward Robert Lewandowski has a two-goal cushion at the top of the UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying scoring chart.
Lewandowski struck three times – once against Germany and twice against Gibraltar – in this week's qualifying double-header to take his tally to ten. His Bayern München team-mate Thomas Müller is just two goals adrift on eight, having netted three times for Germany in the past few days. Coach Joachim Löw subsequently lauded Müller for his "sixth sense" in front of goal.
Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney and Artem Dzyuba both moved onto seven goals on Tuesday, equal with Bosnia and Herzegovina's Edin Džeko and Northern Ireland's Kyle Lafferty. Qualifying concludes in October.
