George Efrem, Cyprus midfielder
I scored my first goals for the national side but it has been a while since I have scored at all, so I am delighted. We know that there are no easy games any more. We took this game very seriously without ever underestimating our opponents. The most important thing is the fact that we have six points. We now need to shift our attention to what will be a very important game against Belgium on their turf in March. We will prepare for that game looking to get something there. We are a team made up of young and experienced players. We have a lot of talent in the squad and we have what it takes to build a team for the future.

Jason Demetriou, Cyprus defender
After building up a comfortable lead, the priority was to try and get as many goals as we could and to get the confidence going in the group. It was a good result.

To be honest, I don't think many of the boys knew that [the result matched Cyprus's record result, a 5-0 win against Andorra in 2000]. The confidence boost is massive. Andorra may not have too many points, but the win is still great. The boys are enjoying being with the national team.

We're looking forward to the game [against Belgium on 28 March]. There have been years when we felt we didn't have a chance, especially after the first few games, but now we believe we have something to play for. There is a miracle we feel we can now achieve.

Antreas Makris, Cyprus forward
The victory will really help us for the upcoming games in this group in which we are chasing a dream. We did what we had to do but now we are looking ahead.

The five goals and our performance were both equally important. I think we have showed people that we have potential. I also feel that we showed our class with the goals that we scored. We don't fear any opponent.

Giorgos Merkis, Cyprus defender
Taking an early lead helped us a lot and we were able to give some joy to the fans with the goals that we scored. It was great for me to score my first ever goal for Cyprus. We worked really hard in the build-up to this game and we also worked on set pieces. Had I been a little more careful, I think I could have also got a second.

Aaron Sanchez, Andorra midfielder
It was a great game of football tonight against a tough opponent. But we're Andorra, and Andorra is Andorra. I hope we can still collect some points in this group, but it's very difficult. We will start preparing for the next game [at home to Bosnia and Herzegovina] in February, but it will be very difficult because Bosnia are a big side.
