Next games: Malta v Italy, Norway v Bulgaria (Monday)

Per-Mathias Høgmo, Norway coach
We started well, scored an early goal and controlled the match from there. This win gives us motivation for our next match. It is important to find the positives from every game and keep working on those. Joshua King is playing well, let's hope he continues his fine form.

Joshua King, Norway striker
We came here to get the three points and we did just that. I think we dominated the match and I don't remember Malta having any clear chances. We came here knowing what we had to do. It's our first win in our group but we have a very important match on Monday, so we will try to build on this victory.

Pietro Ghedin, Malta coach
We lost 3-0 – what can I say? It was difficult to recover from silly mistakes once again. The team tried their best but it was not our day. Norway were quicker than us and scored at the right moments. Credit to Norway but when you gift goals it is not easy to recover.

Clayton Failla, Malta defender
We are very disappointed with the result. Once again we only have ourselves to blame for silly mistakes which cost us the game. We expected the Norwegians to play long balls up to Joshua King but we failed to deal with the threat.
