Liechtenstein and Montenegro will meet for the first time in UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying Group G with the former aiming to end a three-year wait for a home win.

New ground will be broken in UEFA EURO 2016 qualfying Group G as Liechtenstein take on Montenegro for the first time at senior international level.

• Liechtenstein and Montenegro have yet to meet in any UEFA competition – men's, women's or futsal – and there have been no encounters between the nations' clubs either.

• Liechtenstein were beaten 8-1 at home by Montenegro's neighbours Bosnia and Herzegovina in their first home qualifier for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, but earned 1-1 draws against Latvia and Slovakia in Vaduz later in the competition.

• Liechtenstein's last competitive home win was a 2-0 success against Lithuania in a UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier on 3 June 2011. They have drawn two and lost four since then.

• Montenegro won their first three 2014 World Cup away qualifiers without conceding a goal.
