Klinsmann calls Premiership tyros

Moritz Volz, Thomas Hitzlsperger and Robert Huth are in Jürgen Klinsmann's Germany squad to face Cameroon.

Leipzig fixture
The 21-year-old is joined by Aston Villa FC midfield player Thomas Hitzlsperger and Chelsea FC defender Robert Huth, both of whom have already represented their country at senior level, for the friendly in Leipzig.

Duo return
There were no other surprises in the squad, with Kevin Kuranyi recalled after missing the trip to Iran because a calf injury. Goalkeeper Oliver Kahn was rested for that 2-0 victory but is back in the fold and will resume his rivalry for the No1 jersey with Jens Lehmann.

Two out
Kuranyi's VfB Stuttgart team-mate Andreas Hinkel is unavailable due to a hamstring injury, while 1. FC Köln teenager Lukas Podolski's foot problem rules him out. The 2006 FIFA World Cup hosts are next in action in December, playing Japan (16), the Korean Republic (19) and Thailand (21) away.
