The UEFA EURO 2024 Tournament Steering Group convened for the first time at the qualifying draw at the Festhalle exhibition centre in Frankfurt on Sunday 9 October. The group consists of top management representatives from UEFA and the DFB, as well as host cities, federal and local authorities.
The Tournament Steering Group will work on planning for the final tournament, with a particular focus on aligning the host nation and cities, as well as sporting, organisational and political objectives. The group will meet regularly until after the final tournament, which takes place in Germany between 14 June and 14 July 2024.
Following the meeting, the participants were keen to emphasise their collective goal of a peaceful and enjoyable UEFA EURO 2024, both in the ten host cities and stadiums in Germany and Europe as a whole.
