The UEFA EURO 2024 Festival and good vibes are coming to Munich ✨

Under the motto "Munich celebrates Europe", everyone is invited to get involved at the Olympiapark with family, friends and fans alike! In the Fan Zone, you’ll be able to watch all EURO 2024 matches on a big screen on Olympic Lake.

There are also many interactive experiences for all ages, live music and performances from local artists and beyond. There’s also plenty of football activities to be enjoyed and delicious culinary delights to sample.

The festivities, underpinned by Bavarian serenity and unity, will continue into the city centre. At Marienplatz, discover the enchanting Münchner Kindl for EURO 2024 against the magnificent backdrop of Munich City Hall. Keep a look out for street artists providing even more entertainment on the days of the festival. The performances reflect the values of football: solidarity, togetherness, fair play, excitement, dynamism and pure enthusiasm.

What is the admission procedure at the Fan Zone?

Entrances open at 13:00 every day. Admission is on a first come, first served basis. Journalists must apply for accreditation in advance to access the premises with equipment.

Does the Fan Zone have a capacity limit?

The Fan Zone is designed to accommodate up to 25,000 people. If the capacity limit has been reached, the entrance to the grounds will be temporarily closed.

Does the Fan Zone have special policies for bags or luggage?

Please note that you can only bring backpacks or bags up to A4 in size. Glass bottles are forbidden.

What can I do if I feel uncomfortable, discriminated or harassed in the Fan Zone?

MucAware supports you! Our awareness teams are on site on all match days from 17:00 to around 00:00. You can recognize the team by their purple vests and bright backpacks.

The team is mobile around the site and stationary in the awareness tent with a safe space next to the first aid station near the West Entrance to the Olympic Hall.

You can also easily contact the team by scanning the QR codes on site using an online contact form.

📺 Public Viewing at Fan Zone Olympiapark

The official Public Viewing is located at the heart of the Fan Zone. All 51 EURO 2024 matches will be broadcast live on the 120m² floating screen on Olympiasee (Olympic Lake). This location guarantees a superb view and wonderful atmosphere, with all matches visible from the lawn steps. Settle down on the grass steps, enjoy the live music from the stage and soak in the unique surroundings.

In addition you will also find screens at the Theatron (36m2) and under the Magic Sky (21m2) on Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz. So you really don't have to miss a minute of football action wherever you're strolling around the Fan Zone.

❗🇩🇪 Beginning from the k.o.-matches the Germany matches will also be screened in the Olympiastadion, in addition.

🏟️ A 160 square meters sized screen will be installed at the height of the center line in front of the opposite stand, so that in addition to the 25.000 visitors of the Fan Zone around Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz, another 20.000 fans can experience the German team's matches live.

What is the admission procedure at the Public Viewing?

There is no separate entrance to the Public Viewing area. Visitors to the Fan Zone should have no problems finding a free seat on the lawn steps to watch the games on the Olympic Lake’s giant screen. Fans who want to watch the Germany matches in Olympiastadion should use Entrance North for access.

🎡 Spectacular

In a nod to EURO 2020, the Münchner Kindl will be making another appearance at Marienplatz – dressed in EURO 2024 colours. As in 2021, it will serve as a memorable photo opportunity for fans from all over the world.

As part of the city of Munich’s 866th anniversary, the Münchner Kindl will be unveiled one week before the opening match, adding to the excitement ahead of the tournament.

Munich will also be installing six park benches, decorated in EURO 2024 colours, at selected locations in the city, including Olympic Park, the airport and the old Gasteig building. Under the motto #hockdiher (“sit yourself down”), these meeting points are intended to encourage people to chat to one another – not only about football and EURO 2024 but about anything that takes their fancy.

🎭 Host City Events

At EURO 2024, Munich will offer a wide range of tournament-specific events to truly capture the spirit of football across the entire city!

During the tournament, there will be numerous events and an abundance of street art throughout the city centre. Football, music, traditional Bavarian, acrobatic and artistic acts will perform at various central locations on matchdays, including Odeonsplatz, Wittelsbacher Platz, Max-Joseph-Platz, Marienplatz and Karlsplatz. 🌱 Sustainability

At EURO 2024, Munich is implementing a variety of sustainability measures in the areas of environment, social affairs, education, communication and economy. One such lighthouse project is the FAIR PLAY ZONE at Fan Zone Olympiapark.

In addition to city contributions in collaboration with departments of the Munich city administration, there is also space for clubs, organizations and civil society initiatives on an area of around 80 square meters.

“Learning with Kick”, a project of the AWO Kreisverband München Stadt e.V., will be on site on all 31 days and will provide inclusive offers on the topic of sustainability in football.

At the same time, the FAIR PLAY ZONE is regularly used by other organizations with a variety of offers: Waste Management Company Munich, Disabled and Rehabilitation Sports Association Bavaria e.V., Engagement Global gGmbH, FC Bayern Munich e.V., Municipal Forestry Administration, Municipal Department/Zero Waste Department, Horizont e.V., Atelier La Silhouette Young Women and Work e.V., Mobility Department, Munich Nutrition Council, Plant-for-the-Planet Foundation, Munich Ambulatory Children's Hospice Foundation, UnternehmerTUM GmbH.

💧Free drinking water will be available to visitors in the shape of temporary drinking fountains – in addition to the ca. 50 fountains already located around the city.
