A former colliery site given a new lease of life as a landscape park, Nordsternpark will be transformed for the EURO 2024 Festival to host the Fan Zone. The amphitheatre within the park will hold the public viewing; it’s already a regular concert venue with performances from the likes of Scorpions and Peter Maffay and the home to Rock Hard Festival.

Become part of the UEFA campaign, spearheaded by Ruud Gullit and backed by Manuel Neuer, Ana Maria Marković and Gareth Bale, and learn how to save a life! 🦺
Visit the 'Get trained, save lives' booth in Fan Zone Nordsternpark daily between 16:00 and 23:30!
The campaign is a joint initiative from UEFA and the ERC to raise awareness on the topic of sudden cardiac arrest and the importance of bystander CPR.
Take part in the CPR-race or visit the online-module where you will be trained by Erling Haaland and Thierry Henry.

🚌 Getting to Fan Zone Nordsternpark
The best way to get to the Fan Zone is by public transport or shuttle bus. Depending on where you start your journey, these are the recommended routes:

🚇 Underground line: U11 towards Buerer Str.
🏁 Get off at tram stop: Schloss Horst
⌚ Travel time: approx. 21 minutes
🚶 Distance to the Fan Zone: approx. 13 minutes on foot or 4 minutes by shuttle bus
🚌 Shuttle bus: Shuttle 1 Fan Zone Nordsternpark
🚏 Shuttle bus station: ZOB Gelsenkirchen at bus platform 1 (ZOB Gelsenkirchen is located near Gelsenkirchen Central Station. Follow the signs to avoid getting lost.)
🏁 Exit directly at the Fan Zone

❓Fan Zone FAQs
Before you enter the Fan Zone, there will be a security check at the entrance with a body and bag search.
Fan Zone Nordsternpark is designed for a maximum of 6,000 people. If the Fan Zone becomes too crowded and you are denied entry, you can visit the Public Viewing at the amphitheatre, where you can watch all matches taking place in Gelsenkirchen, all Germany games, the semi-finals and the final. The amphitheatre is located only a few minutes’ walk from the Fan Zone.

The ball has a diameter of 1.6m, weighs 300kg and features the flags of all nations participating at EURO 2024. The ball is publicly accessible at Nordsternpark and an ideal selfie spot for all visitors.
