🚨 Stadium rules

Even if you are a regular visitor to Düsseldorf Arena, keep in mind that the stadium may operate differently for EURO 2024 and rules may be different from what you are used to.

🎒 Bags larger than A4 size won’t be allowed into the stadium.
🔋 You can bring a small power bank, no larger than your phone.
🪪 Make sure you have a valid form of ID on you (no copies). You may need to present it at the Ticketing Centre in case you have a problem with your match ticket, or if requested by public authorities.
🙅 Remember that professional cameras and cane umbrellas are not permitted inside the stadium. However, you can bring a small, fully collapsible umbrella.
🚭 All EURO 2024 stadiums are smoke-free venues. Therefore smoking, e-cigarettes and heat-not-burn tobacco products are not allowed. Please be considerate of other fans.

🚨Don’t travel to the stadium without a match ticket

No tickets will be available to purchase at the stadium. Do not travel to the stadium on matchday without a valid match ticket as you will not be able to access the stadium or any facilities in the area.

All tickets will be mobile tickets and will be delivered on the UEFA Mobile Tickets App.

Make sure you have the app on your phone in order to download your ticket. If you have multiple tickets, remember to transfer them to your group – ideally before you leave for EURO 2024.

We recommend you enter through the entrance that’s indicated on your ticket. Have a look at the stadium map and our stadium travel guidance before setting off to ensure you arrive at the correct side of the stadium and avoid extra walking.

All the excitement is sure to work up an appetite – but don’t worry: The concession stands in and around the stadium have got you covered.

Opening hours: Concession stands open 3 hours before kick-off.
🍔 Food: Get ready to feast at the stadium! Enjoy a delicious array of options including stadium classics, vegetarian and vegan delights and some local favourites such as Düsseldorfer Schweinebrötchen (pork roll).
🥤 Soft drinks: The assortment of beverages includes Vio water, Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero, Fanta, Sprite, Fuze Tea and plenty more besides!
🍺 Alcoholic drinks: The range of drinks includes Bitburger Pils, Shandy Beer with Bitburger and Bitburger 0,0% Herb.
💳Payment options: You can pay by debit card, credit card and mobile contactless payment, including Alipay+.
♻️Deposit: All drinks are served in reusable cups, for which a €3 deposit will be charged. The cups can be returned to any drinks stand in exchange for the deposit.

Stadium entry ✅

Is there a minimum age to attend the match?

There is no minimum age to attend the match, but everyone must hold a valid match ticket in order to enter the stadium, regardless of their age.

Do underage ticket holders need to be accompanied by an adult?

Yes, ticket holders under the age of 16 can only enter the stadium with an accompanying adult. The accompanying adult MUST have a valid match ticket.

How early should I get to the stadium before the match?

We recommend getting to the stadium when gates open, 3 hours before kick-off.

Can I use any entrance at the stadium to get to my seat?

We recommend you use the entrance specified on your ticket as it is the most comfortable way to find your block and your seat once in the stadium.

If I’m late to the match, can I still enter after kick-off?

You’ll still be allowed to enter the stadium as long as the security situation allows it. However, entrances may close at some point during the game, and you may not be permitted entry. So start your journey well in advance and allow additional time for security checks.

Once I enter the stadium, can I leave and come back in?

Re-entry is not permitted. If you choose to leave the stadium, you will not be allowed back in.

What props am I allowed to bring inside?

You can bring flagpoles that are a maximum of 1m long and 1cm in diameter and banners or flags that are a maximum of 2m x 1.5m.

What kind of flags and banners can I bring into the stadium?

You can bring any flag or banner you like, as long as they are not banned or carry any forbidden or discriminating symbols that would constitute a criminal offence in Germany. All items must meet the general requirements for flags/flagpoles or banners as outlined in the stadium rules (see above).

Are there restrictions on the jerseys I can wear for the match?

You can watch the match in any jersey you like – club or national team. Check the section above for restrictions on flags and banners.

I need to bring an item from the prohibited list for medical reasons. Does it need to be requested in advance?

Yes, if you need to bring anything for medical reasons, please get in touch with the UEFA ticketing customer service to request an exemption. This can be done as of 1 June and or at least 48 hours before your match: On matchday, make sure you carry prescription evidence on you.

Are there gender-neutral entrances to the stadium?

Yes, the stadium will provide gender-neutral lanes at all entrances, where aspects like body checks before entering the stadium are performed without connection to binary limitations of gender identification or expression.

Channels will be marked accordingly and are positioned mostly on the far right side of every entrance. EURO 2024 embraces gender identities and expressions as a spectrum that is not limited to a binary concept.

Tickets 🎫

What should I do if I have a problem with my mobile match tickets? Is there somewhere at the stadium that I can get help?

Yes. In case you have an issue with your match ticket, there are two Ticketing Centres at the Arena. These are located by Gate North/South near the Europaplatz and by Gate South.
The Ticketing Centres will be open on following Matchdays:

  • 17 June, 14:00 to 22:00
  • 21 June, 10:00 to 16:00
  • 24 June, 14:00 to 22:00
  • 1 July, 11:00 to 19:00
  • 6 July, 11:00 to 19:00

There is also a Ticket Info Point at Gate West and a Ticket Info Point south of the arena near the exhibition centre. For more information, have a look at the Mobile Tickets FAQs.

Are there toilets outside the stadium?

Yes, there will be a few toilets outside the arena.


At the stadium

Is there anything to do at the stadium for non-ticket holders?

No. If you don’t have a ticket, don’t travel to the stadium. You’re better off heading to Fan Zone Burgplatz or Public Viewing Rheinufer where there will be a free Public Viewing of the match and plenty more entertainment to enjoy!

Can I smoke inside the stadium? What about e-cigarettes?

Smoking is not allowed inside the stadium. This policy includes vaping, e-cigarettes, and heat-not-burn tobacco products.

What if I have a problem/emergency at the stadium?

In case of an emergency, reach out to the nearest steward, first responder or volunteer for immediate assistance.

A number of support services and response mechanisms will be in place at EURO 2024 to ensure all fans can enjoy their time at the stadium.

  • If you observe or experience any cases of discriminatory behaviour or human rights violations, our team of stewards, first responders, volunteers and specialised staff will be trained to provide you with support.
  • Each stadium will have a dedicated safe room.
  • An online EURO 2024 reporting tool will be available for fans to address any form of discrimination.
Is there a lost and found at the stadium in case I lose/find something and what do I do if I lose or find anything?

If an item has been lost, please head to the Spectator Info Point, which will be clearly signposted and indicated on the stadium map. Your request will be logged and our team will try to reunite you with your item during the match.

If the team is unable to locate your items during the match, all lost property will be kept at the stadium for three days after the match before being transferred to the Host City’s lost and found office.

If you have found a lost item at a UEFA EURO 2024 stadium, please proceed as follows:

1️⃣ Take the item to the Spectator Info Point, which will be clearly signposted and indicated on the Stadium map. If you are unsure where this is, volunteers will be able to direct you.

2️⃣ The team will log the item for you and attempt to return it to its owner during the match.

3️⃣ Alternatively, you can hand the item to the nearest steward.

Are there phone charging stations in or around the stadium in case my phone runs out of battery?

There are no phone charging stations. Please charge your phone before heading to the stadium so it doesn’t run out of battery. You can also bring a small power bank, no bigger than your phone, into the stadium.

Remember, you will need your phone to access your ticket, so make sure it is fully charged before heading to the stadium.

Are there gender-neutral toilets in the stadium?

Yes, and they can be used by anyone. Gender-neutral toilets (Unisex WC) can be found here:

Is there Wi-Fi at the stadium?

Yes, public Wi-Fi is available.

If it rains, will all seats within the stadium be covered?

Most seats are covered. Depending on wind & weather, some seats could still potentially get wet. Check the forecast and bring a raincoat or poncho if you’re unsure. While cane umbrellas are not permitted inside the stadium, you are allowed to bring a small, fully collapsible umbrella.

Any advice for fans attending the match with children or infants?

For fans with very young children or vulnerable individuals:

Please keep a close eye on young or vulnerable members of your party to avoid being separated in crowded areas of the stadium. To help keep your group together, there is a wristband service for fans with young children or vulnerable adults. Parents or guardians can write their contact details on these wristbands. If you get separated, the team will let you know if the missing member of your group has been found. Wristbands are available at the Spectator Info Point, which will be clearly signposted and indicated on the stadium map.

Please note that pushchairs/strollers are not permitted in the stadium.

Food & drinks 🍟

Can I bring my own food and drinks inside the stadium?

No food or drinks can be brought into the stadium. This includes drinks containers, whether full or empty. For medical exemptions, check the stadium entry FAQs above.

Am I allowed to bring baby food inside?

Small quantities of baby food are permitted. However, it is generally not advisable to take babies into the stadium.

Will allergens be signposted?

If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, please ask the concessions staff for more information.

Stadium parking 🅿️ 

Can I drive to the stadium even if I haven’t pre-booked a parking pass?

No. Parking on matchday is strictly for ticket holders with a valid parking pass. Passes will not be sold at the stadium.

Who can help me if I have a question about the car parks, payment or parking pass delivery?

Parking passes are sold and managed by the respective parking operator. For any assistance, check out their detailed FAQs or reach out directly to the operator’s customer service team.

How far away are the parking areas from the stadium?

All parking areas are close to the stadium and within walking distance of the entrances (10 minutes at maximum). Maps will be provided closer to the tournament with more detailed information.

When does the parking area open and close on a matchday?

The parking areas open 5 hours before kick-off and close approximately 1.5 - 2 hours after the match. Stadium gates for all EURO 2024 matches open 3 hours before kick-off.

Can I give my parking pass to someone else or can I get a refund?

Parking passes are non-refundable and the transfer or resale of passes is not permitted. But you don’t necessarily have to come with your own car. You can also ride with someone else and provide them with your parking pass, as long as you’re with them
