Jagiellonia Białystok's first appearance in the knockout phase of a European competition continues in Spain as the Polish side take on Real Betis in the UEFA Conference League quarter-final first leg.
Betis – who are themselves at this stage of a UEFA competition for the first time in 27 years – knocked out Portuguese side Vitória SC in the round of 16 thanks to a 4-0 second-leg away victory to complete a 6-2 aggregate success.
Jagiellonia held off Belgian team Cercle Brugge in the last round, their 3-0 lead from the first leg cut to just a one-goal advantage with over half an hour to play in Bruges, but they held on to secure an aggregate victory.
This is a first meeting between the sides, as well as the first time Betis have welcomed visitors from Poland and Jagiellonia's maiden meeting with Spanish opposition.
