Germans dominate leaderboard

Prolific striker Anja Mittag sits at the top of goalscoring table with four German team-mates following up behind.

Anja Mittag continued her fine scoring form in the UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship in the stunning 8-0 semi-final victory against Russia, registering her sixth goal of the tournament.

Taking advantage
With just the final on Sunday to come, only another German player can harbour realistic hopes of finishing ahead of the striker in the race to finish as the leading scorer in Finland. Mittag found the net from close range in the 64th minute against Russia, but a number of her team-mates also took full advantage against opponents reduced to ten players for the entire second half to advance their own claims to the individual prize.

First five
Simone Laudehr scored her fourth goal overall five minutes from time, while substitute Katharina Griessemer found the net twice late on and Lena Goessling and Annike Krahn once each. All now have three goals, meaning the top five positions in the scoring charts are currently occupied by German players.

Four on two
Spain's Miriam scored the only goal of the semi-final with Italy, booking a final meeting with the Germans and joining team-mates Iraia, Irune and Jade on two goals in the process.
