- On the opening day, 2012/13 winners Poland beat hosts Estonia 5-0, set on their way by two Klaudia Miłek goals.
- Born on 31 December 1999, Estonia's Siret Räämet became the youngest player to take part in the competition since it began in 2007/08.

Of course, we are satisfied with the result, but we could have scored earlier in the match against Poland. We had chances. But I'm delighted we didn't concede any goal in the three games.
I'm very proud of my players. I think we deserved to win this game and this mini-tournament. I think Poland have a good team too. We will try to go all the way. It's a tough path, but we want to develop our players individually.
