• One of several new stadiums playing host to UEFA Women's EURO 2013, the Arena Linköping project got under way in 2011 for completion the next year.

• Located in Kallerstad to the north of the city, the stadium is a new home to women's side Linköpings FC, replacing their old Folkungavallen.

• Linköpings FC were formed in 2003 from a link-up between women's football club Kenty DFF and ice hockey's Linköpings HC. Immediately one of the biggest teams in Sweden, they won the Swedish Cup in 2006 and 2008, a year before their first Damallsvenskan triumph.

• The stadium will hold three UEFA Women's EURO 2013 Group C games and a quarter-final.

• Linkoping in south central Sweden is home to more than 100,000 people and dates from the 13th century with a famous cathedral, whose steeple dominates the skyline.
