Wolfsburg to face Paris, Brøndby through

UEFA Women's Champions League holders VfL Wolfsburg came from behind to pip FC Rosengård and set up a semi-final with Paris Saint-Germain, who knocked out Glasgow City FC while Brøndby IF eliminated Linköpings FC to end Sweden's hopes.

UEFA.com rounds up today's first three quarter-final second legs. Brøndby's opponents will be decided on Sunday when 1. FFC Frankfurt welcome Bristol Academy WFC after winning 5-0 in the first leg.

FC Rosengård 3-3 VfL Wolfsburg (agg: 4-4, Wolfsburg win on away goals)
Wolfsburg remain on course for a third straight title after ousting the Swedish champions in front of a sell-out crowd of close to 6,000, the highest for a women's club game in Malmo. Four minutes in Alexandra Popp headed Wolfsburg in front and, though Rosengård's first-leg goalscorer Marta levelled the aggregate score, just before half-time Anja Mittag struck for the 46th time in UEFA club competition to move to within two of Conny Pohlers's record.

Wolfsburg, however, have never lost a European fixture and on 55 minutes Babett Peter put them ahead on away goals, Popp getting her second of the game shortly afterwards. Rosengård did not give up and gave themselves hope in added time through Ramona Bachmann from close range but although they still had time to win a corner, they could not force the winner. Rosengård will be back next season along with Swedish runners-up KIF Örebro DFF.

Paris Saint-Germain 5-0 Glasgow City FC (agg: 7-0)
Paris will meet Wolfsburg in the last four after knocking out their fellow first time quarter-finalists at Parc des Princes in front of more than 11,000 spectators. The home side made their domination count in the 26th minute when Glasgow midfielder Suzanne Lappin turned a corner into her own net in the 26th minute.

Paris doubled their second-leg lead in the 54th minute, Marie-Laure Delie converting a low centre by captain Sabrina Delannoy. They combined again for the fourth not long after Delannoy had converted a penalty earned by Shirley Cruz Traña, fouled in the box. There was still time for two Paris substitutes to make an impact, Kenza Dali scoring three minutes from time after a penalty was awarded for a foul on Kosovare Asllani.

Brøndby IF 1-1 Linköpings FC (agg: 2-1)
Brøndby ended an eight-season wait to reach a third semi-final after making the most of their first-leg win last week in Sweden. Emma Madsen doubled their aggregate advantage early on when she headed in Nanna Christiansen's corner.

Brøndby goalkeeper Katrine Abel was in inspired form as she denied Linköping on several occasions and although Danish international Mariann Knudsen scored for Linköping just before half-time, the home team held on to the delight a crowd of more than 3,000. Linköping will not be back next season after finishing outside the Swedish top two in 2014.
