VfL Wolfsburg and Glasgow City FC have both dipped into the transfer market with the first legs of the UEFA Women's Champions League quarter-finals just over a fortnight away.
Holders Wolfsburg have added Norway Under-19 forward Synne Jensen on a three-year deal. The 19-year-old was out of contract having previously played for Kolbotn IL and LSK Kvinner.
"It's an honour to get this chance to play for VfL Wolfsburg," she said. "During a visit I saw how professional the club and the work in training is. VfL is the ideal place for me to develop further, as a player and as a person."
Coach Ralf Kellermann, whose team face FC Rosengård on 22 and 28 March in the quarter-finals, continued: "With Synne Jensen, VfL will gain a young prospect. We want to introduce her to the first team in the medium term and regard this signing as an investment for the future. We think Synne Jensen has enormous potential to develop further."
Meanwhile, first-time quarter-finalists Glasgow have recruited midfielder Kerry Montgomery from Spartans FC. "I'm obviously delighted to have signed with Glasgow City for the upcoming season and very excited about the challenge," said the 26-year-old, who joins the Scottish champions ahead of their tie with Paris Saint-Germain.
Manager Eddie Wolecki Black went on: "Having Alyshia Walker, Emily Thomson and Sarah Crilly ruled out, along with Courtney Whyte and Erin Cuthbert unavailable for the PSG game due to being on international duty, then the squad does lack depth ... Kerry is tenacious, athletic and adds height to the midfield area."
