UEFA Women's Champions League quarter-finalists Tyresö FF have signed Brazilian international quartet Mayara, Thaisa, Rilany and Fabiana to join compatriot Marta, the club's website promising a season "filled with samba parties and great atmosphere".

Winger Fabiana – who reached the 2011/12 and 2012/13 last eight with FC Rossiyanka – right-back Rilany and defensive midfielders Thiasa and Mayara have all agreed two-year contracts with the Stockholm side, who take on Austria's SV Neulengbach in the latest stage of their European debut on 23 and 29 March before attempting to win back the Swedish title from FCR Malmö. A club statement read: "We stand firm in our dream to make it to the Champions League final in Lisbon, and to once again challenge for the Swedish league title in 2014."

Coach Tony Gustavsson said: "With Fabiana and Rilany, we can field a right side that is already in sync from their national team – a positive considering the little time we have until the Champions League in late March."

Gustavsson highlighted Thaisa's "ability to position herself on the pitch and to always think a step ahead". He described Mayara as "a ball-winner who also has good vision".

Tyresö have already recruited Finland goalkeeper Tinja-Riikka Korpela and will also welcome back striker Madeleine Edlund who sat out 2013 after becoming a mother. The activity on the transfer market is balanced by the departure of seven important players: defender Johanna Frisk has been forced to retire through injury; Ashlyn Harris and Alex Krieger have been called home by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF); Caroline Graham Hansen has returned to Stabaek IF; while Jennifer Hermoso has signed for FC Barcelona, Kirsten van de Ven for Malmö and Sara Thunebro for newcomers Eskilstuna United DFF.

The rest of their American players, including top scorer Christen Press, will also return home after Tyresö's European campaign ends.
