Lehn set for Carolina switch

Norwegian international Unni Lehn will join Carolina Courage on 2 April, just days after the second leg of SK Trondheims-Ørn's UEFA Women's Cup quarter-final tie with HJK Helsinki.

Midfield fixture
The 24-year-old has been a fixture in midfield for club and country in recent seasons. A key member of the Norwegian team which defeated the United States in the 2000 Olympic final in Sydney, Lehn has struck 16 goals in 69 internationals.

Winning goal
The Trondheims-Ørn player scored against the US in January's Four Nations Women's Tournament in China, a warm-up competition for the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup. Her fifth-minute goal helped seal a 1-0 victory and Norway's overall success in the competition.

Impressive domestic career
Lehn's domestic career has been equally impressive, scoring 90 goals in 281 games to help Trondheims-Ørn to 12 Norwegian titles. Speaking after her move to the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA) was confirmed, subject to gaining a work permit, Lehn said: "I look forward to playing for the Courage, together with all the great players there. I am grateful to the WUSA for giving me the chance to come over and play in the best league in the world."

Pichon move
Lehn will join Norway team-mate Hege Riise in Carolina in addition to German player of the year Birgit Prinz. French international Marinette Pichon recently confirmed that she is leaving Saint-Memmie Olympique for the Philadelphia Charge.
