Players from AFC Ajax, AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord dominate Foppe de Haan's provisional 30-man Netherlands squad for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship on home soil.
Four each
Ajax, AZ and Feyenoord supply four players apiece as the Jong Oranje attempt to defend the title they won in Portugal last summer. Eight members of that victorious team are included by De Haan: goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer; defenders Arnold Kruiswijk, Dwight Tiendalli and Ron Vlaar; midfielders Ismaïl Aissati, Urby Emanuelson and Haris Medunjanin; and striker Daniel de Ridder. However, four men miss out through injury, with Stijn Schaars, Ibrahim Afellay, Evander Sno and Piet Velthuizen all sidelined. The squad will assemble on 20 May with the 23-man selection to be named eight days later.
