Tuesday
Czech Republic 1-1 Germany
The Czech Republic and Germany played out an entertaining draw at Prague's Stadion Eden, venue for their meeting in the final round of group games next summer. FK Dukla Praha forward Michal Krmenčík fired the hosts into a 20th-minute lead, Ladislav Takács having headed on Tomáš Kalas's long throw into his path. Germany hit the upright and had several other good opportunities to equalise after the break, something they finally did when Moritz Leitner finished off Christian Günter's pass.

Sweden 2-2 Austria (Sweden win 4-2 on penalties)
Sweden's new U21 crop triumphed on penalties for the second time in four days. Håkan Ericson's team, who at the weekend defeated Cyprus 5-3 on spot kicks, struck first through Kristoffer Ottosson four minutes into the second half, only for Florian Grillitsch to swiftly equalise. Jesper Manns restored the Blågult's lead, but Austria equalised for a second time via Christian Gartner.

Ericson gave debuts to midfielders Jesper Karlström (IF Brommapojkarna) and Ferhad Ayaz (Degerfors IF), the latter as a substitute. He said: "I'm very happy with the display and the way the newcomers have performed. Those who helped the U21 squad reach the EUROs also deserve praise for how they've welcomed the new players and worked to get them involved in the game."

Monday
France 3-2 England
Substitute Kingsley Coman struck 17 minutes from time to complete a stirring comeback in Brest as England suffered their first defeat in 17 months. Gareth Southgate's side looked to be cruising after Harry Kane struck twice early on, but a couple of tap-ins from Arsenal FC's Yaya Sanogo made it all-square at the break, paving the way for Coman's winner. England had won 11 in a row going into the game.

Italy 0-1 Denmark
Denmark followed up their 2-2 draw against the Czech Republic on Friday with victory in Matera, Nicolai Brock-Madsen scoring eight minutes from time with a precise right-footed shot. The Azzurrini fashioned the better of the chances but found Denmark keeper David Jensen in great form.

"When you create so many scoring opportunities, you really have to take them," said Italy coach Luigi Di Biagio, who introduced Federico Bonazzoli shortly after the goal, the 17-year-old FC Internazionale Milano striker becoming his country's youngest-ever Under-21 international.
