England will face Israel in the opening game of the 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship on 4 May after the draw was made.

  • The draw was made by tournament ambassador Wayne Rooney and UEFA Youth & Amateur Football Committee chairman John Delaney at St George's Park.
  • Matches are played from 4 to 20 May with the schedule to be confirmed in the next week.

Group A: England (hosts), Switzerland, Italy, Israel

Group B: Slovenia, Norway, Portugal, Sweden

Group C: Republic of Ireland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, Belgium

Group D: Serbia, Netherlands, Germany, Spain (holders)

• Hosts England were placed in position 1 of Group A. The seven best elite round section winners were in Pot 1 and drawn to fill the remaining positions 1 and 2 in the four finals groups. The remaining teams (the other elite round group winners and the seven best runners-up) were in Pot 2 and fill positions 3 and 4.
