Injured Nsue out of finals

Spain's celebrations over their 7-1 victory against Luxembourg have been dampened by the news that forward Emilio Nsue is out of the tournament injured.

Spain's celebrations over their UEFA European Under-17 Championship finals record victory against Luxembourg last night have been dampened by the news that striker Emilio Nsue will miss the rest of the tournament through injury.

Knee ligament damage
Nsue damaged knee ligaments towards the end of the 7-1 win against the hosts in Hesperange, meaning Spain finished the game with ten men as their substitutions had been made. Further tests suggested the RCD Mallorca forward would be out for a fortnight, and his club requested that Nsue return home to prepare for the Spanish youth cup final, as the U17 finals end on Sunday week.

Further fixtures
Without the most-capped player in their squad, and now reduced to 17 men, Spain play Russia in their next Group A fixture in Hesperange tomorrow, before an Ettelbruck encounter with Hungary.
