The UEFA European Under-17 Championship kicks off on 5 May with hosts Slovakia playing Austria and Russia also facing a neighbouring nation, Ukraine, after the schedule was confirmed.
Last week's draw matched Slovakia with Austria, Switzerland and Sweden in Group A, played in Zilina and Dubnica nad Vahom, while Russia, Ukraine, Croatia and Italy play in Group B in Zlate Moravceand Nitra. Slovakia face Austria on the opening day, a Sunday, at 14.30CET in Dubnica nad Vahom, while at the same time Russia meet Ukraine in Zlate Moravce.
Three hours later Croatia take on Italy in Nitra and Switzerland end the day's action against Sweden from 19.30CET. Those two matches are the first of nine shown live on Eurosport or Eurosport 2, including all group games involving Sweden and Italy.
Matches continue on 8 and 11 May, the last sets of games being played simultaneously in each group. The top two from each section go into the semi-finals at 16.00 and 20.30 on 14 May in Zilina. The winners face the runners-up from the opposite pool, the order determined after the groups are completed. The final, also in Zilina, is at 18.00 on Friday 17 May. The three knockout games will all be shown on Eurosport or Eurosport 2.
