Porto complete round of 16 lineup

The lineup for the knockout stage of the UEFA Youth League – the draw for which takes place in Nyon on Monday from 14.00CET and will be streamed live on UEFA.com – has been confirmed following the completion of the group stage.

FC Porto filled the remaining last-16 berth on Wednesday, gaining the Group H point they needed against FC Shakhtar Donetsk thanks to Leonardo's 94th-minute penalty. That spelled disappointment for Athletic Club who, 4-0 up at home to FC BATE Borisov, were set to leapfrog the Portuguese side into second place.   

The only other issue to be decided on the final day was whether Chelsea FC or FC Schalke 04 would win Group G, which the former did emphatically by beating Sporting Clube de Portugal 6-0.

Group winners: Club Atlético de Madrid (ESP), Real Madrid CF (ESP), SL Benfica (POR), RSC Anderlecht (BEL), Manchester City FC (ENG), AFC Ajax (NED), Chelsea FC (ENG), FC Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR)

Round of 16
Section winners host group runners-up in single-leg ties. Teams from the same association or who were in the same pool cannot meet; based on the decision taken by the UEFA Emergency Panel, sides from Russia and Ukraine shall not be drawn together. Matches have been provisionally scheduled for 17/18 and 24/25 February.

Quarter-finals and beyond
The path for the rest of the competition will also be mapped out on Monday with open draws for the quarter-final, semi-final and final stages. All these ties will be contested as one-off encounters, with the last-eight fixtures set for 10/11 and 17/18 March and both the semi-final games (10 April) and the final (13 April) to be played as part of a four-team tournament at the Colovray Stadium opposite UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

Group D
Borussia Dortmund 1-1 RSC Anderlecht
• Dortmund were already out and Anderlecht assured of topping the section, but there was no shortage of action here. Junior Flores put the German side in front after just three minutes, but the hosts had Patrick Franke sent off deep into first-half added time and Franck Mikal pulled Anderlecht level soon after the interval. Dortmund's David Hüsing was also dismissed late on.

Group E
FC Bayern München 3-2 PFC CSKA Moskva
• Bayern rallied from a goal down to finish their campaign on a high. Dominik Martinovic's effort – the hosts' third – ultimately proved decisive, rendering Nikita Kasatkin's goal midway through the second half nothing more than a consolation.

AS Roma 0-4 Manchester City FC
• Though it was 0-0 at the break, City went on to match Chelsea FC's achievement last term of winning all six UEFA Youth League group stage games. Bersant Celina, Jack Byrne, Thierry Ambrose and Brandon Barker found the net in the final 20 minutes.

Group G
Chelsea FC 6-0 Sporting Clube de Portugal
• Jeremie Boga and Charly Musonda were on target with free-kicks, but it was Dominic Solanke who stole the show. The 17-year-old, a UEFA Champions League debutant on matchday three, registered a hat-trick. His third of the afternoon was his seventh of the campaign and meant he ended up as the group stage's leading scorer, one clear of Borja Mayoral (Real Madrid CF), Jerome Sinclair (Liverpool FC) and Zakaria El Azzouzi (AFC Ajax).

NK Maribor 1-5 FC Schalke 04
• Schalke struck the woodwork twice before goals from Felix Schröter and Hari Čorić moved them into a 2-0 half-time lead. Star man Čorić then hit a beauty from distance on 48 minutes, prefacing further efforts from Schröter and Felix Platte. Maribor substitute Sven Karič got a consolation with an 84th-minute free-kick.

Group H
FC Porto 1-1 FC Shakhtar Donetsk
• Requiring a point to qualify, Porto went behind on 47 minutes, Viktor Kovalenko's impressive run allowing Andriy Boryachuk to score. However, they salvaged a draw four minutes into added time, Leonardo converting a penalty following goalkeeper Ruslan Yefanov's foul on substitute Tony Djim.

Athletic Club 4-0 FC BATE Borisov
• Athletic netted four times in the last 16 minutes yet the victory was ultimately in vain. The impressive Iñigo Cordoba led the way for Athletic, breaking the deadlock with a spot kick. Athletic's task was made easier by the 81st-minute dismissal of Aleksandr Bury for a second bookable offence.
