Borussia Dortmund have established an attendance record for a UEFA Europa League play-off with a crowd of 64,200 watching them beat Odd of Norway 7-2 in Thursday's second leg.
The previous high of 52,034 had been achieved by Schalke 04 against HJK Helsinki in 2011/12, which was also the record for any pre-competition proper game until 65,190 watched BVB defeat Wolfsberg in the third qualifying round three weeks ago.
Tonight's crowd at the BVB Stadion Dortmund sits sixth on the all-time list for UEFA Europa League matches, not far off the record of 67,553 set last season by Dynamo Kyiv against Everton in the round of 16. The next target for Dortmund is to take away Schalke's record of 53,123 for a UEFA Europa League group stage game.
