Dor Mikha's brilliant solo strike cancelled out Ideye Brown's opener as Maccabi Tel-Aviv FC and FC Dynamo Kyiv were forced to settle for a draw in Group E.

The home side had won their last six UEFA games at Bloomfield Stadium, but Dynamo goalkeeper Olexandr Shovkovskiy pulled off a series of fine saves to prevent a seventh straight success. Dynamo were the first to strike in a frantic first half, Nigerian forward Brown side-footing in the opener, before Mikha equalised after a fantastic run and finish from outside the area. Shovkovskiy was unbeatable in the second period to leave Maccabi still searching for a first win in this year's campaign.

Andriy Shevchenko turned 35 today and he was nearly celebrating minutes in, but the Dynamo striker could not direct his early shot on target to add to his 67 goals in UEFA competition. The Bilo-Syni did not have to wait long for the opener, though, as moments later Olexandr Aliyev's pass split the defence and Brown calmly slid into the net. The Yellows would have been level soon after but for Shovkovskiy's brilliant save, turning Munas Dabbur's powerful shot onto the crossbar.

Shevchenko fired a low drive just wide of the right post, but minutes later a man 16 years his junior hit the equaliser, 19-year-old Mikha burying his first in European football. The wide player sprinted from the halfway line before cutting on to his right foot and curling the ball into the top corner from 20 metres.

Maccabi went for the win, but Shovkovskiy saved Yoav Ziv's long-range rocket and Haris Medunjanin's free-kick. Ognjen Vukojević then blocked Barak Itzhaki's goalbound effort in the closing moments as Dynamo earned a second point in two games.
