UEFA Cup contenders NEC Nijmegen have extended the contracts of forward pair Saidi Ntibazonkiza and Joël Tshibamba with both players signing deals that will keep them at the club for a further three years, until the summer of 2012.
Young promise
Ntibazonkiza, 21, joined NEC in 2006 after arriving in the Netherlands from his native Burundi but has made his breakthrough his season, scoring five goals in 15 Eredivisie matches and making four UEFA Cup appearances. The 20-year-old Tshibamba came through the club's youth ranks and made his debut in May 2008. He has scored twice in five top-flight games this term. NEC will play Hamburger SV over two legs in the UEFA Cup Round of 32 in February.
