Swiss title-holders FC Zürich have signed Brazilian forward Carlos Silvio from second division FC Wil 1900 following a serious injury to striker Eudis on Sunday.

FC Zürich have signed Brazilian forward Carlos Silvio from second division FC Wil 1900.

Change of plan
The 23-year-old had been expected to join the Swiss title-holders during the summer but links up immediately with Bernard Challandes' side because of injury to striker Eudis. Silvio moves to Zürich on a contract until 2012, having scored eleven goals in 16 games this season for Wil, where he arrived two years ago. Eudis, 24, broke his fibula and ruptured ankle ligaments during the 1-0 victory against FC Thun last weekend.
