ACF Fiorentina have signed Senegal forward N'Diaye Papa Waigo from Serie A rivals Genoa CFC in a deal which sends Belgian international Anthony Vanden Borre in the opposite direction just seven months after he joined from RSC Anderlecht.
Attacking options
Fiorentina will retain a 50 per cent stake in 20-year-old midfielder Vanden Borre's playing licence according to the terms of the transfer – and likewise Genoa with Papa Waigo. The Senegalese, who turns 24 on Sunday, arrived in Genoa last summer from AC Cesena but now moves to Fiorentina where he will increase coach Cesare Prandelli's attacking options. The Tuscan club resume their UEFA Cup campaign against Round of 32 opponents Rosenborg BK next month.
