Sevilla FC midfielder Adriano Correia has signed a five-year contract extension with the UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup holders.
'Time of my life'
The 21-year-old Brazilian international, who has scored five goals in 51 games for Sevilla, is delighted with a deal that ties him to the Andalusian outfit until 2012. "I'm very happy," he said. "I am having the time of my life and I want to thank the president, José María del Nido, and sporting director Ramón Rodríguez Vermejo for putting so much trust in me."
Successful era
Sevilla landed Adriano from Brazilian side Coritiba FC in the summer of 2004, his arrival coinciding with the most successful era in the club's history. His team won last season's UEFA Cup with a 4-0 victory against Middlesbrough FC and were no less impressive in seeing off FC Barcelona to lift the UEFA Super Cup last month.
