The Brazilian defender broke his fibula after landing awkwardly after 57 minutes of the 2-1 Primera División win against CG Tarragona on Sunday. He was immediately taken to hospital and underwent surgery yesterday evening. He is not expected to play again until the new year.

The 22-year-old has thus been ruled out of Fernando Vázquez's side's UEFA Cup first-round tie against R.
