Manchester United enter the 2016/17 UEFA Europa League knowing victory in the competition will allow them to join a select band of elite clubs.

Having won the European Cup in 1968, 1999 and 2008, and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1991, a United victory in Solna in May would make them only the fifth club to have claimed all three of UEFA's major trophies after Ajax, Juventus, Bayern München and Chelsea.

Click on the video player above to watch all four of United's past final wins and read on for the key numbers from a team whose record in Europe few can match.

Statistics counted: European Cup/UEFA Champions League inc qualifiers, UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League, European Cup Winners' Cup.
