UEFA today announced that Hankook has agreed to extend its official sponsor agreement for the UEFA Europa League, one of UEFA’s prestigious European club football competitions and the world’s largest professional club football competition. The continuation of the partnership, which started in 2012, runs through until the UEFA Europa League final in 2018.

Since becoming a UEFA sponsor, via its official partnership for the UEFA Europa League, Hankook - recognised as one of the leading companies globally in the mass production of motor vehicle tyres - has benefited from worldwide brand visibility and a global television platform, helping to engage its customers and employees around the world in the excitement of the UEFA Europa League.

Commenting on the announcement, Guy-Laurent Epstein, Marketing Director of UEFA Events SA said:

“We are delighted to be announcing that Hankook has renewed its sponsorship of the UEFA Europa League. Hankook has been a valued partner over the past three seasons, and we look forward to continuing this partnership. By working together, we hope to help Hankook further engage its customers and employees worldwide in the excitement of the UEFA Europa League each season.”

Ho Youl Pae, Hankook Tire’s COO for Europe, explained:

“The UEFA Europa League is a perfect fit to our brand claim ‘Driving Emotion,’ it was natural to extend our successful partnership for another three seasons. While the UEFA Europa League is Europe's biggest club competition, bringing together international players and high-profile teams, it is Hankook’s mission to provide its customers with premium tyres developed with the latest innovative technologies, to provide the best possible driving experience at all times. Together, Hankook and the UEFA Europa League will continue to bring the excitement and emotion of football to fans across Europe.”

Hankook becomes an official partner of the UEFA Europa League alongside UniCredit and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. FedEx is the official main partner and adidas is the official supplier to the tournament for the 2015-18 period.
