Valencia CF have further strengthened ahead of their UEFA Europa League round of 32 tie against FC Dynamo Kyiv by bringing in forward Vinícius Araújo and defender Philippe Senderos from Cruzeiro EC and Fulham FC respectively.
Brazil Under-20 striker Araújo has agreed terms on a loan deal until the end of the season and arrives at the Mestalla to replace Portuguese forward Hélder Postiga, who was loaned out to UEFA Europa League rivals SS Lazio on Thursday. The 20-year-old made his senior bow for Cruzeiro in July last year before going on to score seven goals in 16 top-flight appearances as his team won the Brazilian championship for a third time.
As for Swiss international Senderos, he has moved to the Spanish east coast on a free transfer after spending almost three years at Fulham, where he made 68 appearances in all competitions. As well as enjoying loan spells at AC Milan and Everton FC, the 28-year-old scored four goals in 64 Premier League games for Arsenal FC between 2004 and 2008.
Both join fellow new arrivals midfielder Seydou Keita and forward Eduardo Vargas at the Spanish club. Meanwhile, midfielder Éver Banega has been loaned out to CA Newell's Old Boys in his native Argentina until the end of the season.
