Record breaker
Bolic, 32, has scored 16 goals in 40 appearances for Bosnia-Herzegovina, both national records, and has enjoyed spells at several major clubs across Europe, including FK Crvena Zvezda and Rayo Vallecano, as well as in Turkey where he has played for both Fenerbahçe SK and Galatasaray SK.
New faces
Gençlerbirligi have also signed Yozgatspor goalkeeper Emrah Yilmaz on a five-year contract, and youngsters Murat Kalkan and Hakan Aslantas, who have joined on four-year deals after progressing through the VfB Stuttgart youth set up.
Surprise package
Gençlerbirligi were the surprise package of last season's UEFA Cup, reaching the fourth round where they beat eventual winners Valencia CF in the first leg, before bowing out on the silver-goal rule. They have qualified for the competition again as Turkish Cup runners-up, and will start in the second qualifying round, which takes place on the 12 and 26 of August.
