Former Dutch international Peter Bosz stressed that "Vitesse and I are both ambitious" after he was unveiled as Fred Rutten's replacement at the helm of the Arnhem outfit on a two-year deal.
Rutten opted against extending his contract after taking Vitesse to fourth place in the Eredivisie last term, so Bosz will lead the side in the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round this coming season. The 49-year-old, once a technical director at Feyenoord, arrives from Heracles Almelo along with assistant Hendrie Krüzen.
"I am extremely proud that I have been asked by Vitesse," said the former midfielder, who began his well-travelled playing career at the club. "The conditions here are great. It is not yet clear which players will come and go, so it is not realistic to set a goal for the season. It is important that the team and individual players get better."
