UEFA Europa League entrants FC Twente have signed Dmitri Bulykin on a free transfer.
The 32-year-old Russian striker, whose contract with AFC Ajax expired this summer, has signed a one-year deal with the option of a further season with De Tukkers.
Twente are the third Dutch club for Bulykin. The former FC Lokomotiv Moskva, FC Dinamo Moskva and Bayer 04 Leverkusen forward switched from RSC Anderlecht to ADO Den Haag on loan in the summer of 2010 and, after scoring 21 goals in 30 Eredivisie matches, was signed the following year by Ajax.
Nine goals in 19 league games followed for the former Russian international, who boasts an impressive record of seven goals in 15 matches for his country.
Steve McClaren's side face a tricky UEFA Europa League second qualifying round second leg at FC Inter Turku on Thursday after a 1-1 draw in Enschede in their first meeting. FK Mladá Boleslav or Thór Akureyri await the winners.
