Beşiktaş JK have suffered a double injury blow after first-choice goalkeeper Cenk Gönen and defender Ersan Gülüm were ruled out for lengthy absences.
Cenk, 22, will be sidelined for eight weeks after breaking the little finger of his left hand during last week's bruising Turkish Cup win against Trabzonspor AŞ. He completed the final 75 minutes despite the injury, though will now have to see if Hakan Arıkan can make the goalkeeper jersey his own again over the coming two months.
Centre-back Ersan suffered a left knee injury in the closing stages of the same game, and has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing a cruciate ligament operation in Melbourne. The 23-year-old will remain in Australia, his homeland, for three months before continuing his recovery in Turkey.
Beşiktaş will meet FC Dynamo Kyiv in the UEFA Europa League round of 32, with the first leg at home on 17 February before the return a week later.
