FC Porto have signed Paweł Kieszek from SC Braga as they reinforce their goalkeeping ranks following the departure of understudy Nuno.
No details of the transfer fee have been released but the one-time KSP Polonia Warszawa custodian has agreed a four-year contract with the UEFA Europa League play-off hopefuls. He will provide competition for Porto's established keepers Helton and Beto after the 36-year-old Nuno's retirement.
Following a spell in Greece with Egaleo FC, the 26-year-old Kieszek joined Braga in 2007, making 11 Liga appearances in total and spending the latter half of the 2008/09 campaign on loan in Setubal with Vitória FC. His new club finished last season in third place in the Portuguese table.
As Porto began pre-season training today under new coach André Villas-Boas, Kieszek was one of four additions to the squad along with central defender Sereno, striker Diogo Viana and midfielder Josef Souza. Portuguese Under-21 international midfielders André Castro and Ukra were also present after loan stints at SC Olhanense last term.
