The top scorer prize for the inaugural UEFA Europa League campaign has been shared between Claudio Pizarro and Óscar Cardozo.
Werder Bremen's Pizarro and Cardozo of SL Benfica sit top of the pile on nine goals apiece, three clear of the chasing pack. Fulham FC pair Bobby Zamora and Zoltán Gera are among those seven players but never looked like scoring the hat-trick they needed to draw level at the summit as they lost 2-1 after extra time to Club Atlético de Madrid. Diego Forlán was Atlético's top scorer after registering twice in the final, taking his tally to six goals since the Spanish side switched from the UEFA Champions League in the winter. Only strikes from the first round onwards count towards the totals.
