France's Dimitri Payet ended UEFA EURO 2016 where he started it, on top of the Player Barometer. Cristiano Ronaldo, meanwhile, finished as the highest-ranking Portugal player in seventh, denied the chance to move any higher by his early injury in Sunday's final, though Rui Patrício did overtake Manuel Neuer as top goalkeeper.

Player Barometer presented by SOCAR:

  • 1st: Dimitri Payet. France
Payet went top after his performance in the opening game against Romania and although the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann had spells at the summit, the France playmaker ended the final in pole position despite the hosts' defeat by Portugal.
