Russia confirmed their finals place and top spot in UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying Group B with a comfortable victory against Andorra in Moscow.
Alan Dzagoev scored either side of goals from Sergei Ignashevich and Roman Pavlyuchenko to give Russia a comprehensive lead at the break. Denis Glushakov and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov completed the scoring in the second half.
Following their 1-0 victory in Slovakia last time out, Russia went into the match against Andorra knowing a point would book their place at next summer's finals. Dzagoev, who grabbed the winner in Zilina last time out, got the hosts off to the perfect start on five minutes.
Ignashevich's glancing header doubled the lead before Tottenham Hotspur FC forward Pavlyuchenko made it 3-0 on the half-hour. There was still time before the break for Dzagoev to grab his second and Russia's fourth with a neat finish.
Dick Advocaat's charges started the second half in a similar fashion to the first and were rewarded for their dominance on 59 minutes when Glushakov scored his first international goal. Substitute Bilyaletdinov struck the sixth 12 minutes from time with an excellent effort from 30 metres as Russia ensured they finished two points clear of the Republic of Ireland at the summit.
