  • Nani scores after five minutes to give Portugal the lead
  • Zoran Tošić conjures an equaliser for the hosts midway through second half
  • João Moutinho pounces on 78 minutes to hand Fernando Santos's team victory
  • Serbia end with nine men after red cards for Nemanja Matić and Aleksandar Kolarov
  • Portugal are Group I winners; Serbia finish fourth

Already through to UEFA EURO 2016, Group I winners Portugal rounded off their qualifying campaign with a victory in Serbia.

The hosts made a purposeful start to their final outing in the section but were stunned early on as Danny tried his luck following a fine run, Nani the quickest to react after Vladimir Stojković had failed to hold onto the initial effort.

Unperturbed, Serbia continued their assault, with Zoran Tošić, Aleksandar Mitrović and Adem Ljajić all proving a handful for the Portuguese defence. Making the most of their chances proved another matter, however, and Tošić's 65th-minute leveller was all they had to show for their efforts, the No7 lashing the ball into the top corner following an Aleksandar Kolarov cutback.

The final word nevertheless belonged to substitute João Moutinho, who added to his winning effort against Denmark on Thursday by firing an excellent shot high into the net from the edge of the area. The misery then continued for Serbia as both Kolarov and Nemanja Matić saw red in the final ten minutes.

The result ended Serbia's run of two consecutive victories, leaving Radovan Ćurčić's side winless in Belgrade since 2011 – and fourth in the final Group I reckoning.
