Forward Matěj Vydra, midfielder Ondřej Zahustel and winger Jan Kovařík have been removed from the Czech Republic's draft squad for UEFA EURO 2016, reducing the long list from 28 players to 25.
Coach Pavel Vrba informed the players of his decision after a training session in Prague today. "It was a difficult decision, especially regarding the forwards, who we had been thinking about it for a long time," he explained. "As for Zahustel and Kovařík, they both had a great season in the Czech league. Zahustel suffered an injury during the spring and this influenced our decision. When deciding on the squad, we also considered the contributions players had made in qualifying."
