Sevilla are very, very strong opponents. They have a lot of pace, but we showed against Juventus and Manchester City that we can compete with strong teams. We want to play attacking football. Their coach rested some of their players in the league – that shows how many good players they have and that they have respect for us.

It's a tough task, but we are used to them. I think we still have a real chance of qualifying. A tough opponent awaits, in a fantastic stadium with fantastic supporters. This match means a lot to us. We've been playing well this season and now it's up to us to show our qualities. First we must take these three points and then we will tackle the next step.

A late Raffael goal, his sixth in the Bundesliga this term, earned Mönchengladbach victory. Boss Schubert is now unbeaten in his first eight league games – including as caretaker – the first Foals coach to achive that since Udo Lattek in 1975/76.

Real Sociedad 2-0 Sevilla (Agirretxe 73, Xabi Prieto 77)
Playing their first match of the post-David Moyes era, La Real posted only their third Liga win of the campaign. Sevilla went into the match on the back of a 3-2 triumph over Real Madrid before the international break.
