• CSKA have lost on all four previous visits to Germany, including another 3-0 reverse at Bayern in their opening game of the 2013/14 UEFA Champions League campaign.
• Igor Akinfeev, Aleksei and Vasili Berezutski are survivors of CSKA's first trip to Germany when their hopes of reaching the 2006/07 last 16 vanished as they leaked two late goals at Hamburger SV in a 3-2 matchday six defeat.
