An added-time header from centre-back Tore Reginiussen ensured Odense BK will head to Athens for their UEFA Champions League third qualifying round decider with Panathinaikos FC on level terms.

In a game strewn with chances for both teams, it was the visitors who struck first through the impressive Sebastian Leto two minutes into the second half. While OB were worthy of at least a draw, the identity of their scorer was still a surprise, Reginiussen finding the net on only his third appearance for the club having been sent up front in search of an equaliser.

The first of many efforts came on 15 minutes, Andreas Johansson shooting wide following a patient move from OB. Only the excellence of Stefan Wessels then prevented Leto from finishing from close range, yet early in the second period the OB goalkeeper was beaten when the former Liverpool FC midfielder punished some lax defending.

The lead would have been short-lived had Peter Utaka not lost his composure when one on one with Alexandros Tzorvas, a chance which was swifly followed by Hans Henrik Andreasen heading wide a cross from Espen Ruud.

Wessels again denied Leto, the game's outstanding performer, with an impressive fingertip save 17 minutes from time, a moment which could prove pivotal in the overall context of the tie. Reginiussen, a summer signing from FC Schalke 04, punished Leto's profligacy moments after being denied by Tzorvas.
